Martyr shaft anodes made from magnesium provide highly effective corrosion protection for boat propeller shafts operating in freshwater environments. As the most active sacrificial anode material, magnesium offers superior galvanic protection by corroding preferentially to safeguard stainless steel and bronze running gear. These shaft anodes are precision-fit to clamp securely around the propeller shaft, ensuring consistent electrical contact and reliable performance. Lightweight yet powerful, magnesium shaft anodes are ideal for lakes and rivers, where using zinc or aluminum could result in insufficient protection or premature corrosion of underwater metals.
